RESEARCH INTERESTS

Jonathan Weitsman's interests are in geometry in mathematical physics. Two areas he has worked on are applications of ideas from quantum field theory to problems in geometry and topology, and various topics in symplectic geometry. In the first area his work is focused on vector bundles on Riemann surfaces; in the second, he has been primarily interested in understanding group actions and reduced spaces.
